WHERE TO STAY
Check out our info page HERE (which includes a map and hotel suggestions) of where you should stay in relation to the start/end of tour.
We recommend getting in the night before and meeting up with your group. Chat with your new travel buddies on your Facebook group page (link in email) and organise a small social meet up before your tour starts.
THE BOAT
We have some of the largest traditional Turkish gulets on the turquoise coast, with spacious cabins, sundeck, dining & bar area. You can check out more information about our boat HERE. All cabins are equipped with Air Condition (please read link for info on usage restrictions) at no extra cost and have their own private en-suite bathroom.
There's plenty of room on deck to take in the sun, relax in our lounge area or chill by the bar with a cocktail made fresh by our experienced bar staff. We also have our own personal Chef on board catering for all our included meals during the week.
CURRENCY & BUDGETING FOR YOUR TOUR
The official local currency used in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TL)
Can you use other currencies in Turkey other than the Lira?
The short answer is yes, but officially no. Depending on the vendor, you may be able to pay in Euros or USD for certain items such as accommodation, transport and also in some restaurants. It is not a requirement for a business to have to accept any currency other than the Turkish Lira, so make sure you check beforehand that it's OK for them. Generally they wont provide change in another currency, so best you have small notes to make it an easy transaction.

Below is some handy information in regards to budgeting for your upcoming tour with us.
Excursions: Start planning ahead and check out the excursions we have on offer HERE. We've also got the costs on there to help you better budget for your tour.
Cash is King: Cash is preferred at most places. There are ATMs located at some of the ports we visit throughout the week, so there's no need to take out your life-savings and hide it in every single pocket you have!
You will be required to pay for your Indy Escapes excursions in Cash. Your Indy Escapes guide will talk about this on Day 1 and give you plenty of notice as to when the payment is required.
Tipping: Tipping is not compulsory and it’s entirely up to you if you decide to give extra to your Indy Escapes crew. It’s definitely not expected, but is very much appreciated. You will see the Indy Escapes team always goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best week of your life on our tours. It’s something we pride ourselves on. You will have the opportunity to show your gratitude to your crew at the end of the tour. The amount you tip is entirely a personal preference, however as a guideline we recommend; €10 per WEEK, per crew member on board and €5 per day for the guide.
PACKING GUIDE
Need some help deciding what stays and what goes? We've put together our handy little packing list HERE to get you started.
Electricity: Standard voltage is 230-240 volts. Primary sockets generally require the 2 round-pin variety, similar to most EU sockets. You will need a voltage converter and plug adaptor in order to use U.S. appliances.
