Which airport do I fly into?

You should fly into Cairo International Airport.

The airport code is CAI.

Cairo International Airport is the starting and finishing point for the tour. Always check your confirmed tour dates and arrival instructions before booking flights.

Are airport transfers included?

Yes. Arrival and departure airport transfers are included.

An Indy Escapes representative will meet you at Cairo International Airport and help you reach your first hotel.

Your return transfer to the airport will also be arranged at the end of the tour. Exact meeting points and transfer times will be provided before departure.

Do I need a visa for Egypt?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and passport.

Many travellers can apply for an Egyptian e-visa online or obtain a tourist visa on arrival. However, you should check the latest requirements with the official Egyptian authorities or your nearest Egyptian embassy before travelling.

Make sure your passport meets all entry requirements and is valid for the required period.

Is Egypt safe?

We travel through established tourist destinations including Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and Hurghada.

The tour uses organised transport, established accommodation and experienced local representatives throughout the journey.

How much spending money should I bring?

Your spending money will depend on your personal travel style and the optional activities you choose.

Bring enough for meals not included, drinks, optional experiences, tips, snacks and souvenirs.

We recommend carrying a mixture of cash and card, as smaller businesses and local vendors may prefer cash.

How much does food cost in Egypt?

Egypt has food options for a wide range of budgets.

Local dishes such as koshari, falafel, shawarma and grilled meats can be inexpensive, while hotel restaurants and more tourist-focused venues generally cost more.

As a broad guide, allow around US$10–$25 per meal, depending on where and what you choose to eat.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free or have another specific requirement, we will do our best to accommodate you.

What should I pack for Egypt?

Pack lightweight, comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather, sightseeing and cultural sites.

Useful items include comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a reusable water bottle, a light layer for evenings and modest clothing that covers your shoulders and knees when required.
