ITINERARY
Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY
We commence our Bali experience after meeting your Indy Escapes crew at the resort, you will have time to check in and get settled before we meet up in the afternoon for our introduction for the retreat. Explore this gigantic villa and it's amenities, or chill by the pool and drink your first coconut of the week!
We'll enjoy an included terrace dinner together as we watch the sunset, and settle into the local island vibe, along with a games night to get to know your new Indy family.

Day 2: VILLA DAY
As there is so much to do in Bali, we will get up bright and early today to make the most of the day. We will start with a villa training session. This is a nice, easy session and an opportunity for the group to get to know each other and our trainers, followed by a big breakfast.
During the day, we have some optional activities where you can choose between surf lessons, shopping, cooking classes, or just lounging around the pool and starting to unwind.
In the afternoon, we will meet again for our afternoon training session. Tonight is a free night to explore, or you can come and join us for a family dinner in Canggu. There are plenty of restaurants and bars where you can unwind after your first full day in Bali.
Day 3: UBUD
We have a big day today. After our morning training session, we will enjoy another resort breakfast before taking a stroll through the spectacular Tegallalang rice terraces for some happy snaps on the Bali Swings. Then, we will head to a very special place that most tourists will never know about for lunch. On all our Indy Escapes trips, we support local communities and NGOs, and today, you will get to spend time with one of our favourites, the Cahaya Mutiara, Ubud.
We will then make our way to a local waterfall and hike up to a fantastic river club, where we will be able to cool off and enjoy a few cocktails in the infinity pool. We will spend the rest of the afternoon here before making our way back to the resort in the evening.

Day 4: CANGGU
then head down to a local Padel/Pickleball Court to have a friendly round-robin tournament with all of your new travel buddies. Afterwards, you’ll have the option to join a surf lesson at one of Canggu’s iconic beaches—perfect for beginners and seasoned surfers alike, our crew will also be out there with a drone to ensure we caption your first 'pop'! Or, simply kick back and enjoy the laid-back vibe of the area, there are limitless restaurants to chose room. The day is yours to relax and recharge: book a massage, chill by the pool, or explore local cafés and boutiques. Whether you’re up for an adventure or a quiet day in the sun, there’s always a balance of socialising and relaxing at your own pace. In the evening, you’ll have the option to take part in a hands-on Balinese cooking class, and enjoy a fun night in at the villa. It’s a flexible, feel-good kind of day—one you can shape to suit your own rhythm.
Day 5: NUSA PENIDA
We hit the floor early in the morning for a session on the in-house gym! It is always lots of fun, and it ends with a nice and refreshing swim afterwards, followed by breakfast by the pool.
After breakfast, we head toward Sanur to embark on our boat journey to the incredible island of Nusa Penida. Once we arrive on the island, we will head straight for the ever-popular Instagram spot "Kelingking Beach" for some incredible photo opportunities. Then, we will hike down to the beach below for an afternoon dip and chill! After our little adventure, we will make our way to Diamond Beach for another mind-blowing photo opportunity and hike before starting to head back toward Canggu in the evening.

Day 6: BEACH DAY
Wakey Wakey! We’re up early today to start the morning with a refreshing sunrise yoga session, followed by a big, healthy breakfast to fuel the day to kick off our last full day in the Villa.
The day is then yours to finish your shopping, work on your tan or sneak in one more massage before our final afternoon session. From here, we will change and spruce ourselves up for some well-deserved sunset cocktails at Balis's finest sunset spots! We will spend a fun-filled afternoon together, looking out over one of the most spectacular venues on the island.
Day 7: DEPARTURE DAY
We are up early for our final training session together before one more nice, big, healthy breakfast. After breakfast, we will start saying our farewells before our newfound friends depart. Anyone with a late departure can spend the day at the resort pool before making their way to the airport.

Bali Travel FAQs
Who is this trip for?
Solo travellers, couples or small groups of friends looking to travel together for safety, to socialise, and to share experiences. Our travellers are people who appreciate the outdoors, wildlife, and natural beauty whilst seeking immersive cultural experiences and sustainable travel options.
How do I get a VISA for Indonesia?
Getting a visa for Indonesia is generally straightforward for most travellers, as Indonesia offers a visa-on-arrival or E-Visa for tourists from most countries, which typically takes 5-10 working days and costs around $35 USD. Check if your country is eligible for VoA here and apply online via the Indonesian immigration website. If your country is not eligible, you may be able to apply at an Indonesian embassy/consulate.
Where is the Villa located?
Our purpose-built wellness resort is tucked away just north of the hustle and bustle of Canggu, in a peaceful area called Mengwi. This location is intentional—it’s not called a retreat for no reason. Surrounded by rice paddies and local charm, it offers the perfect space to unwind, recharge, and fully embrace the relaxing energy of Bali. Yet it’s still within easy reach of the island’s hotspots, allowing guests to explore Canggu, Ubud, and even take day trips to Nusa Penida. It’s the best of both worlds—serene and secluded, but close enough to adventure when the mood strikes.
About the Villa:
Villa Ahoy is a private, purpose-built wellness retreat designed with connection, comfort, and calm in mind. Featuring open-plan communal spaces, a tranquil yoga shala, lush tropical gardens, and a sparkling pool, the villa is the perfect setting to slow down and sink into Bali’s laid-back rhythm. Every corner has been thoughtfully curated to create a sense of space—space to breathe, to reflect, and to connect with others.
With spacious shared rooms, cosy chill-out zones, and a central dining area where we come together for nourishing meals, Villa Ahoy feels more like a home than a hotel. Whether you’re stretching out on a daybed with a book, journaling on the terrace, or chatting with new friends over a coconut, this is your sanctuary for the week. It’s where the magic of the retreat really happens.
Which Airport do I fly into?
When travelling to Bali, you will primarily fly into Denpasar International Airport (IATA: DPS), the main international airport serving the island of Bali. The airport is located in the south-east of the island, in the capital city, Denpasar. You can check the below Skyscanner form to search for flights.
Are Airport Transfers included?
No! Return Airport transfers are not included! We can arrange Airport Transfers for 300,000 IDR (around $20 USD) each way, in one of our private 6 seater vans. Our Indy Escapes Representative can meet you at Denpasar International Airport (DPS) on the commencement day of the tour and arrange return Airport Transfers for you at the end of the tour.
Is Bali Safe?
Bali is generally considered a safe destination for travellers, with a relatively low crime rate and a very relaxed local island vibe.
Is it OK to travel solo?
Yes, Bali is a suitable destination for solo travellers, especially when travelling with Indy Escapes. Overall, 70% of our guests are solo travellers.
What additional costs are there?
At Indy Escapes, we offer a range of optional extras to enhance your experience in the Maldives. We realise this is your holiday, so you can opt in or out each day, depending on your appetite. Optional extras include a Cooking Class, Surf Lesson, Kelingking and Thousand Island Beach, Ice Bath and Sauna, Sound Bowl Meditation, Monkey Forest, and Bali Swing.
Whilst all breakfast and some meals are included, the additional meals that are not included (plus drinks and alcohol) are at your own expense.
How much is a meal?
Meals at local cafes and restaurants typically range from $10 to $20 USD per meal. Dishes often include traditional Balinese food such as fresh fruit and veggies, nasi and mei gorang, rice, and satay. In established mid-range Western restaurants, you may expect to pay around $15 to $30 USD for a more varied menu, including both local and international dishes. You can also pick up snacks and soft drinks from a convenience store for a couple of dollars.
What if I have Dietary Requirements?
We realise that not everyone eats the same! Some people have dietary requirements, and some have dietary preferences, so rest assured that enjoying your food and keeping you safe is our utmost priority. We ensure that your dietary requirements are confirmed upon booking your trip and then reconfirmed upon your arrival at the commencement with our Indy Escapes representative. Whether it is vegetarian and vegan, gluten or dairy-free, if you have allergies or have another special request, you will be taken care of!
How do I book a Bali trip?
Easy as 1, 2, 3!
Booking Enquiry, Pay Deposit and receive Confirmation. Then you are going to Bali!
