GETTING THERE

  • Airport Transfers (Not Included):

  • Please note that airport transfers are not included in your retreat package. You’ll need to arrange your own transport to and from the villa.

Taxi Apps:

The easiest option is to use apps such as Grab or Gojek, which work throughout Bali. From Denpasar Airport to Canggu, the ride typically takes 45–60 minutes depending on traffic and costs between 150,000–350,000 IDR ($10–20 USD).

End of Retreat:
At the end of the retreat, you’ll again need to arrange your own transfer back to the airport or to your next destination. Your Indy Escapes rep can guide you if you need assistance booking through the apps.

WHERE TO FIND US

On Day 1, head straight to our private villa in Canggu (address provided in your Travel Voucher). If you don’t have WiFi on arrival, we suggest taking a screenshot of the villa location beforehand.

If you have any issues finding us, our Indy Escapes Rep will be on WhatsApp to guide you.

START / FINISH TIMES

Check-In:

Our retreat begins on Saturday from 2:00pm onwards. This gives you time to settle in, unpack, and relax by the pool before our welcome circle and group dinner in the evening.

If you arrive earlier, you’re welcome to chill at the villa or head into Canggu for coffee and food until rooms are ready.

Check-Out:

At the conclusion of the retreat, you’ll need to arrange your own transfer back to Denpasar Airport or to your onward accommodation. Your Indy Escapes rep will be happy to assist with guidance on booking through Grab or Gojek before you leave.

WHERE TO STAY (Before / After Retreat)

If you are arriving a night or two earlier, or staying after the retreat, we recommend booking extra nights in Canggu or Seminyak. Both areas are filled with boutique hotels, beach clubs, and villas, making them perfect for extending your stay.

ENTRY VISA / ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
  • All visitors to Indonesia must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.

  • Your passport should also have at least 2 blank pages for entry/exit stamps.

Visa Options

Depending on your nationality:

  • Many nationalities do not require a visa in advance and can enter Indonesia visa-free for stays of up to 30 days.

  • Many others are eligible for a Visa on Arrival (VoA) or electronic Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) at Denpasar Airport. This allows you entry for 30 days, and in many cases the VoA / e-VOA can be extended once for an additional 30 days.

Costs & Procedure

  • If you need a Visa on Arrival, the fee is approx IDR 500,000 (about $35 USD depending on exchange rates) for 30 days.

  • For the e-VOA option, you’ll need to submit via the official Indonesian immigration portal before or on arrival, including: passport biodata page, passport photo, valid email address, and payment by card.

Additional Notes

  • Always check the official Indonesian immigration / government site before you travel, since visa rules can change. Intrepid Travel+1

  • Ensure you have proof of accommodation and onward or return flight (sometimes required at immigration).

BUDGETING FOR YOUR RETREAT

Your package already includes:

  • Daily breakfasts

  • Group dinners and activities

  • Surf, yoga and fitness sessions

Most guests budget an additional $200–300 USD for the week for optional meals, café visits, nightlife, massages, and personal shopping.

CURRENCY INFO

The local currency is Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

  • ATMs are widely available in Canggu.

  • Most restaurants and shops accept card, but small cafés and market stalls prefer cash.

  • We recommend withdrawing some IDR upon arrival for day-to-day use.

WHAT TO PACK

Here’s a quick guide:

  • Activewear: Yoga, surf, and fitness gear

  • Swimwear: At least 2–3 sets

  • Casual wear: Shorts, singlets, dresses, lightweight shirts

  • Flip-flops / sandals and one pair of trainers

  • Sunscreen & insect repellent

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Light jacket or sweater for evening

No strict dress codes in Bali, but pack light and breathable clothes as it’s tropical year-round.

PHONE / SIM CARDS

WiFi is available at the villa. If you’d like a local SIM, you can purchase one at the airport or in Canggu. A 20–30GB SIM costs around $15–20 USD.

Indonesia uses 220V, European two-pin plugs. Bring a universal adaptor if required.

Get ready for a week of connection, adventure, and fun – with surf sessions, yoga flows, padel matches, ice baths, and poolside downtime. If you have any last-minute questions, just drop us an email or WhatsApp.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Bali and share this incredible retreat experience with you.
